A little about me...
Hi! My name is Melissa, I am a mother to five wonderful children and wife to an amazing human being. I come from a very strong support system and family and friends have always meant the world to me.
Since I was a very young girl I always knew that the healthcare field is exactly where I wanted to be when I grew up, that feeling never got away from me. Although I may not have gotten my certificate at a younger age; I made it my mission to succeed at my biggest goal in life and I applied for the personal support worker program and received my certificate in June of 2023.
since my program and up to the present I have gained knowledge and experience in many areas including; LTC ( long term care) Retirement Home settings, Group home settings, community care as well as worked as a UCP (unregulated care provider)
Nothing in the world fills my heart more than the feeling of being able to help others does. I take a very compassionate approach to my services. I love to connect with my clients and truly learn who they really are. When it comes to my clients I will always treat each and every one as if they were my own family. I feel taking the time to really know who my client is- their interests, their stories they love to share and really taking the time to see not only who they are today but who they used to be truly allows myself to provide the utmost compassionate care.
My vision is to be able to provide families with the best care at an affordable cost that best suits their financial situations. There are many family members that could do best by having the opportunity to have care provided to them but I understand that it can be extremely stressful for families financially. I want to be able to provide my services and be there for families to help where it is needed and take some of that stress off of their shoulders knowing that they can have the opportunity to have these types of services without the stress of financial burdens while knowing that their family members or themselves are getting the care needed with respect, compassion, empathy and love to allow them to live with continued independence.
